I think we all agree that in order for any species of wildlife to reproduce and be healthy they need good food sources, breeding grounds, security, water and it all has to sort of be in balance with each other.

This is a section of the message board to talk about what makes for good habitat.. it's importance in the ecosytem..and how the various animals and birds have different needs and how each counter acts with the other.

It is also a place to discuss our woodlands, water ways, agriculture influences and other topics relating to wildlife and habitat.

I will be adding some posts from previous E-mails, articles and posts from the other message board.

I hope you enjoy this new section and will add your thoughts on the topics that appear here in the future.

you think with all the logging you see now,it would create more habitat. But it is only a fraction of what was done in the sixties and seventies. I have been training bird dogs for over thirty years and I feel more cutting will help all wildlife not just the grouse and woodcock.
