Yes but look how fat and healthy that deer is. To a hunter that seedling means a big buck, to a forester it means a stump.  ;)

She should be fat and healthy.........

I have been feeding her and teaching to come when called since Dec 24th....  all 4 of them are starting to stand about 200 yards away and wait for me to put corn out then it takes them 15 minutes to come and get it !!!

Yesterday they showed up at 3:00pm and were making a fuss running jumping etc.... I went out chased them .. put out fresh corn and they were back in 10 minutes.. I watched them watch me put it out..

she'll taste good come next deer season ....

She'll be 3 this year...

notice the mark (scratch at one time) above her right eye...  I am pretty sure she got it on our pasture fence last year ...

she is the mother of two of the three that are hitting the feeders... but she is NOT the boss..... there's a little "witch' THAT CHASES ALL OF THEM -- HER INCLUDED if I do not spread the feed out in a wide area....
