While returning from Turkey Hill with worms for fishing. ( had to carify so you know who wouldn't pick on me ) Walking in our neighborhood was a 4 point buck in velvet. The antlers were as tall as the length of his ears.

I did not think they started to re-grow antlers so soon. He was a large deer and if he makes it by buck season he should have an impressive rack.

The biggest I have seen so far was a fairly thick based buck with the beginning of splits.  One week ago.
