I've been told there seems to be good number of folks arriving at their camps today for Monday's opening of bear season.

The local WCO told be me a couple weeks ago he looks for a good harvest in Jefferson County again this year.

Lots of employees at the hospital were telling me of seeing quite a bit of rutting action this past week also.. the bucks may still be "in the mood" come opening day for them too

What's the plans here for next week's bear season ???

What's better large drives...small ones.. or still hunting where there are lots of others hunting the area???

I haven't decided where I'm headed to tomorrow morning. I have it narrowed down to two places.

I'm mostly going to scout for bucks tomorrow. I'll sit for a couple hours off the bat, then still hunt until 2-3 in the afternoon, then sit again until dark.

Good luck to you bear hunters!
