Today I added up all the totals from my log book of deer hunting this past season(07-08). Here's the breakdown.

Went out & came home safely 38 times
Saw 79 deer
10-bucks,62-doe,& 7-of unknown sex.
Of the bucks only 2 were legal(4pt area),1 I passed on the 1st day of bow the other was too far away in the late season.

Hunted the most in bow season but saw more deer in muzzleloader.
Had 4 tags & only filled 1 doe tag. but it wasn't the PGC fault that my shooting ability in smokepole season sucked.
Hope everyone had an enjoyable season, it's a long time til Oct.

Sounds like a great year.  Good to hear hunters talking of the good times in the field, not the # number a tags filled.  

Interesting year for me too.  Filled my buck tag in archery and a doe tag in rifle.  Missed alot in frontstuffer season.  Like you, not the gun's fault.

We had to concentrate our efforts on other properties this year because of EHD.  Found a new farm with good potential and established good relations with the landowner.  Myself and my buddies got the old "come back anytime".  Always nice. I plan on going down there when we get some snow and look for coyote sign.

Well, look forward to the next PGC meeting and will start planning for spring gobbler and next fall.
