View antlerless tags in real time here. https://www2.pa.wildlifelicense.com/start.php I believe you can also check to see if your application has been processed by entering your PALS number. Good stuff. |

I wonder if they are having issues with the system.

If you get to the list where it shows, deer, bear ,elk etc... and nothing is there, your application has not been processed yet. I know a few that had "pending" status when they checked. --Last edited by dpms on 2009-07-15 13:42:38 -- |

with this new system they have to open every single envelope and process the enclosed .. looks like the treasurers are only able to handle a couple thousand a day... the old way they just looked at the outside and saw how many apps were inside.. added them up and moved on to the next envelope.... openeing and processing them later in the month... not so now. |

Doc, I believe "the old way" (when we were sending to the PGC) it was the PGC that was counting the number of apps in each envelop in order to assure that each county treasurer was getting the correct allocation of tags for each of the WMUs falling within that county. I think the first round is going at the same speed it always has. It's just that everybody can access their accounts in real time - and with no prior experience to compare against - they start to worry. I think it's the second round that is going to slow down somewhat. And that's because the clerks will not be able to scan a bar code on an application as they do now for the pre-printed antlerless app. Instead, they'll have to manually type the CID#. |

your right the PGC has done it the last few years... but they are going much slower this year.. last year 2F and 2G were gone in the first week... still some left by todays chart ... --Last edited by Dr Trout on 2009-07-21 23:36:10 -- |

You're right Doc - in years' past, 2F and 2G were maxed out the first week. But that's because the only thing the PGC sorters had to do was count envelopes and at the end of the day tell the web master how many had been "counted by WMU/Treasurer and re-bagged for re-sending to those treasurers. What we have this year is a real time update in a system that reflects, not only the receipt of those envelopes, but the processing and awarding of tags. I believe license buyers are trying to compare "apples to oranges" and it's a matter of perception only. That's my 2 cents. |

I agree 100%. it is taking longer to process each envelope.... I think they should go back to sending them to the county in which you wish to hunt... not that that would speed the system up .. I just think it works better that way.. ??? sending them all to the PGC in Harrisburg and having them issue the tags would be the BEST way.. but that ain't gonna happen... |

2G is sold out and it looks like 2F will be sold out soon as well.
