hot dog.. was rewarded my doe tag for 2F today... that means at least two deer in the freezer again come fall for next year

Congrats Doc.  Yesterday was my lucky day as well for a 2F.  Before checking my personal situation, I logged onto to the Statewide Status report.  At that time (1PM), the count showed EXACTLY 10,000 issued.  I felt that was good omen for my personal receipt.

By the way did you get a DMAP for area 313 too?

yes number 15 for clear creek...

what are my chances for 2F ... Monday starts "out of state" applications and web site says 372 left ... I am figuring not many will apply so i might have a slim chance ...

If you already sent it and it gets to the Elk County Treasurer as one of the first ones they receive Monday morning you probably have a pretty good chance at getting one. If you haven’t sent it yet or it otherwise doesn’t get there early Monday morning you don’t have a chance of getting a 2F. They will be out very quickly Monday morning.

On the positive side I suspect you did send to Elk County and since they are one of the fastest in the state at getting them entered and issued you have a lot better chance then most if the timing through the mail was correct.

thanks RSB. i mailed it from ohio to elk county late thursday ... should be there monday morning.... if unlucky, no big deal. Will have my 10 year old with me this year and in case he does not get a chance at a buck, I would like to share the experience with him. plus the jerky and sausage cannot be beat.

183 --- 2F left at 9:15am on Monday.

Just went on line and checked status ... it said

NON-RES ANTLERLESS DEER Awarded

I never thought i would get a non resident 2F liscence in my lifetime. Am really looking forward to my 10 year old and i having 4 great days of fun together ... two of which we will both be looking to shoot something.
