Went out before work this morning, no one ine the parking lot. I get ready and start out a trail with my light on, a truck pulls in and the guy jumps and starts following me up the trail and ends up passing me. I'm pissed and thought about saying something, but think I don't know this guy, it's dark and he has a gun so I just cut off the trail a short distance and set up. Heard one bird in the direction I was originally headed and where the other guy went but no shooting til I left at 6:45.

That's enough of a rant for one day I guess.

Bummer.  I do not miss the days where most of my hunting was on public land.  I am fortunate now to have less competition.  Now if I can just find a bird that's cooperative.

I've had problems on public as well as private lands.
