Anyone out and about and doing an good?

Bagged a fall hen Saturday morning.  Walking in to my spot and busted a flock off of the roost.  Decided to sit down there and try to call once it got light.

At fly down the yelping and kee kees started and I managed to pull a young jenny away from the assembly call of the boss hen. Pretty much mimicked what she did just as loud as I could.

Good luck to those looking.

Congrats! It dont get much better than turkey hunting as far as I'm concerned.
I went out yesterday morning carrying an old Fox double 16ga. I bought last week and around noon I busted a flock of about twenty or so birds.
Long story short I bagged a fat 16lb. hen who was sporting a 7" beard.
There is defiantly some story material there.
As I was walking along I wondered about the guns old owner what kind of man he had been and how many birds and bunnies he had busted over the years with that 16. I hunted with a Fox 16 and 20 just like it as a kid and in a way yesterday was kind of a walk back in time for me as it brought back a lot of pleasant memories of my time on the farm.

When you begin to question why it is you hunt and fish, you only have to look into the eyes of a child who had just seen their first deer or caught their first fish for the answer.
