I put the bird to bed last night. I got in there early this morning about a hundred yards or so way from where I heard it gobble last night and put out decoys. He gobbled three times on the roost before I heard him fly down, then I yelped and the gobbler went nuts. He came to the jake decoy to kick it's butt, but never got the chance. It was a good double wing shoot. He's a two year old with a 10 inch beard. Spring gobbler hunting is the best. I broke in my new crossbow.

Congrats that is a nice bird for sure 9" beard is nothing to scoff at.

I got it out around Doc's hot hunt'n spots, along Springcreek Road on gamelands 54.
