I watched Carl Roe(I think) make a remark on a PCN call in program some time ago about looking at the affects crossbows have had in the SRA's during Archery.  Don't want to state a debate on whether they should be legal or not.

It has been several years now since they have been legalized and, too my knowledge, I have not seen or heard anything.

I would be interested in there is any data or studies done on a few points.

Has hunter participation grown during archery in the SRA's?

Has the archery harvest increased, decreased or stayed the same in the SRA's?

What percent of the current archers use crossbows in the SRA's?

Has the hunter success rate increased, decreased or stayed the same for those using crossbows?

It seems like some simple surveys mailed to hunters that bought archery tags and live in the SRA's could yeild some interesting data.  How about the local WCO's asking some checked hunters the same questions.

No matter how you feel about crossbows in general archery statewide, looking at the SRA's now would get us going in the right direction.
