The Warsaw Sportsmen's Association will be conducting a coyote hunt on March 13-15th 2009.

The entry fee will be $10.00 per hunter.

The prize money will be equally divided among those that harvest and check in a coyote.

Weight, sex and length will be recorded but will not be used to determine a winner... every successful hunter will receive prize money.

The hunt will begin at midnight March 13th and continue unit 4pm Sunday the 15th.

check in time at the club will be Fri and Sat noon until 9pm

Sunday check in will be from 9am until 4pm... no check in after 4pm will be accepted..

Hope to see some of you participate in our 1st coyote hunt....

Doc,

As a trapper you would be better off sleeping in and calling early morning light if you can. Coyotes are very light shy.  Your chances of calling one at night are very low.  Even with a red light.

Well the 1st Warsaw Sportsmens' coyote hunt has ended ..We had 110 registered hunters with ZERO coyotes harvested.... so the $550.00 prize money will be carried over to the next coyote hunt...

folks reporting in saw --

deer... turkeys.. a couple "flying by" coyotes, a few grouse, and a few black bears....

many saw quite a few deer...

one hunter found a spot with 8 deer carcasses... that's where they kicked out one of the bears.... I'll be checking with the local WCO to see if he is aware of those dead deer ????

That is a lot of dead deer.  It sounds kind of strange.
