Well it was cold the water temps around here were from 34 to 37 degrees fish were very sluggish.

Here is my first day add ins:

West Branch Clarion:  Terrible i only saw one trout caught by 10:30.  Really bad because I usually catch 25 here on the first day myself.

Sandy Lick Near 5 Mile Run:  I managed to catch 3 and missed 5 trout.  My dad also caught 3 and our good friend caught 1.  All caught trout were rainbows.  Very tough gong and it was a lot of work to get what i got. Water was just too cold.  But flies did not let me down again.

Fish On!!!

Things were slow on most streams over here in Warren County, most fishermen had no luck at all. I could not believe what I saw on Chapman Dam Lake. The lower part of the lake had enough ice on it that you could not even fish there till the afternoon. No wonder the trout were not hittng good there, just way to cold. Now we are to have 3 straight days of more snow and cold weather. Guess I will have to head to Punxy and put my hands around that lying groundhogs neck for telling me that spring was just around the corner, 2 and a half months ago.
