I FINALLY had a day off and we had nice weather... I fished the Clarion.. managed my first 2007 trout. A nice healthy 14 inch Brown Trout caught on an orange spinner. Unfortunately my next cast with that spinner ended up in a tree and BYE-BYE spinner..... forgot the camera so no first trout photo to share...

i know that you probably made a long cast and lost the spinner. but, my tip is to set the hook downstream rather than up. that way(especially with a fly rod)if you miss, the line comes back and hits the brush low. then just walk over and untangle it. i got a job interveiw tommorow, otherwise i'd be out early.

you cant beat that any trout over a foot is a good fish as far as i am concerned.

Way to go prnc.. I'm happy for you... just hope it doesn't interfere with your fishing

thanks guys. it's gonna change my fishing habits a lot. i used to work weekends. fished mondays and tuesdays. now i'll be in a rotation to work weekends. when that happens, i think it will be a 7 day week. or does that make a 12 day week? oh well, i can use it. here's a link to where i got the job. http://www.cwmenvironmental.com/
