My cousin and I fished Driftwood today for the first time this year.  We fished five different holes for a total of about eight hours.  We mostly fished the upper end close to Emporium since that was stocked this week.  I caught 17 and my cousin caught 6.  I only had seven until the last hole we fished but managed to catch ten there.  I caught two Brooks, a Brown, and the rest were Rainbows.  I've caught a pile of Rainbows this year.  I caught all of them on Powerbait with a waxworm.  The fish aren't taking crawlers yet unfortunately.

Anyway, this day will be remembered by me for the one that got away.  At the first place we stopped I hooked a big Palamino (around 20 inches).  I got it in really close but unfortunately had to get down a bank to net it.  I tripped over a rock and almost fell in head first.  I managed to catch myself but unfortunately when I tripped I lost the fish.  I was not a happy camper.  smile/mad.gif Thank goodness I didn't fall in though.  The hole had a lot of current and I can't swim not that anyone can swim with hip boots on filled with water anyway.
