I took another vacation day Friday and took my cousin fishing up at Driftwood.  We fished the hole up near Emporium where I nearly caught the big Palamino last week.  We stayed there for about three hours this time.  The trout were really biting well especially early on.  I caught 21 and my cousin caught 11.  We saw the big Palamino for a few seconds but then he dissapeared into the deep water.  Good to know he's still there.

We drove up past Sizerville Park and cut across Austin into Costello to try First Fork.  The water is low up there.  I caught six and he caught one.

Third stop was another spot on First Fork further downstream about a mile above the fly project.  I only caught one there.

By now it was late in the day and it was apparent that I had made a mistake by leaving Driftwood and going to First Fork.  So, on our way home we fished one spot just above the town of Driftwood. I caught three there.  So, for the day I caught 31 which was my best total of the season thus far and my cousin caught 12.

Year to date: 163 trout in 8 trips including three "big ones" of 18 inches or more.
