My friend Jason caught this beast this morning at Toby.  It was 29.5 inches long and weighed 9.76 pounds.  We weighed it at the bait shop in Brockway.

Congrats on a great fish !!!

I was talking to a guy who helped stock Toby earlier this week and he told me they put in quite a few Palominos like that...

It didn't fight as much as I would have thought.  I figured it would make a big run but it didn't.  It did manage to get itself under a tree though.  I thought it was all over then.  Jay had to put enough pressure on it to get it out of there and it was on top splashing.  The 4 lb. test held up though.

Yeah i have never had a Golden trout put of that good of a fight out the ones i have caught they jump and then seem to thrash around on top till you get them to the net.  I just wish they put some rainbows in that were in the 24" to 30" range no there would be a great fight.
