I went over to the North Fork on Sunday and noticed over a dozen dead trout in a short stretch from the bridge down. One was a big brookie.  Anyone else heard of fish dying on North Fork after being stocked?

What area are you talking about on North Fork..

I notified the PFBC of the dead trout from last Thursday at Humpback Bridge and that's all I have heard of...

The one at Jones Bridge seem to be okay they are in their regular hiding spots though and not easy to see..

The ones they put in at Blowtown seemed to have dissappeared at least that's what I was told by some anglers on Saturday that fishing Blowtown .. ???

Course they didn't see any at Jones either

Interesting -- now we have anglers complaining they are not SEEING ANY TROUT LOL

TR= trout reduction..
less trout in- - means less trout spotted

I'm hoping to fishing Blowtown and Jones on either Wed or Thurs.

Not sure of the Bridge but its in Richardsonville.  i walked down stream a ways and kept seeing dead fish. i did spot a few still swiming but not many.  The trout seems to really be running downstream a ways.  I am planign on walking up to Deemers Camp area to see what i find there.

Shame on You ... you were that close to the store and did not stop in to say HI  ??????

I'm going to guess some of those dead fish were from being caught and released...

anglers have been hitting them pretty good from Richardsville Bridge downstream.

That's the general area to where I sent those folks in the picture ... and they did excellent and spoke of most guys catching fish and many releasing them back into the water..

the ph level in the stream is bad but i also on opening day spoke w/ the guy who lives right there at richardsville and he said about a dozen were dead coming out of the truck when they stocked it. i went fishing saturday at home here, elk creek, and they had dead fish in it too. maybe because for some unknown, but good reason, it's been a very warm and nice april. the water at elk creek was like bath water saturday and we haven't had rain until today. there were plenty of lake trout in the stream though. they kept running into my legs.

I am hearing of dead fish everywhere now that are DOA.  And today the stocking on Redbank was cancled due to the truck breaking down.  Maybe the problem is with the fish trucks.

Argh!  I wish I would have known this about seven hours ago.  I drove down tonight after working and the fishing was the pits.  I was expecting lots of bites from freshly stocked trout.  Instead I only caught three trout and a bunch of chubs.  It was supposed to get stocked on the 23rd and the 30th. The stocking from the 23rd has been moved to May 15 according to the Fish Commission website.
