Made it out to my favorite stream this morning, first time in out in awhile and I was a little rusty. Missed more than I caught, but did manage 15 for the morning. One brook, 4 rainbows and the rest browns. Kept four for the wife and I to eat, all fish were caught on rooster tail spinners.

Are you really old enough to remember when there were huntable numbers of deer on the gamelands.

Sounds like you had an enjoyable morning, and with that catch I'd say a successful one..

I'm stuck at home baby-sitting the 'critters" while my wife is in Pittsburgh attending niece's graduation party...

I decided to go out yesterday also.  I wanted to fly fish kinzua creek..I wasn't on the water more than 5 minutes before the thunderstoms started. The water was chocalote colored in about fifteen minutes.
Proceeded to Farnsworth way upstream.  The water was slightly off color.  I caught 9 stockers and one native.  I was surprised to catch two rainbows, the rest were brookies.  I also missed at least twice that many.  8 were caught on a small white roostertail, the other two on redworms.   dd

Good job Rich, I'm surprised how many stocked trout are left in the streams this year. My roostertail of choice was brown.

what has always amazed me is how few people you see fishing after the second week of trout season.  ss

I had three of my friends here from N.C. they were amazed at the number of trout we caught on the streams. We also managed two nice rainbows near clear creek on the river also got another legal walleye at old state ripple in clarion county. living the dream.

I suggest fishing across from where Clear Creek empties into the Clarion to alot of internet folks ...

they stock the heck out of clear creek and many just have to make it into the river.

I just never take the extra time to go down there myself.
