I fished above the Portland Mills canoe launch tonight after work for a couple of hours.  I caught three trout (2 Brooks and a Rainbow) and 3 Smallmouth bass.  All of the fish were pretty small. Lots of snags and bug bites.

The Clarion is tempermental for trout.  Did you see any fish jumping up that way?

I only saw two jump while I was there.  Most of the bugs seemed to be biting me and hitting my windshield.  There weren't enough left over for the fish to eat.

Yeah that area of the clarion it is really hit or miss. get a little further up towards Ridgway and it gets a lot better for trout fishing.
