Should be prime on the Erie tribs today and for the next few days.  A good thaw after a cold spell.  The Steelhead will be snapping.

Went to college at Mercyhurst in Erie and spent much of my free time on the tribs during the fall and winter.   Catch a Steelhead on a flyrod and you will be hooked for life.  My best day was in November of 1997 when I hooked 26 and landed 10, all on a flyrod.

I usually make the trip once a year now, but this year I am thinking maybe early March.

May be good for fishing period....

I had a guy come into the store yesterday and he bought some red worms and was headed to Hallton area to fish Spring Creek and the Clarion where Spring Creek empties into it..

will have to wait until I see him again to see how he did though..

   When I drove past 12 mile a couple of days ago it was high and muddy, should be down by now.  
   I'm waiting for some ice on the bay.

I'll have to wait until he comes back up in the area to his camp..
