I spent the weekend at Presque Isle.  There was about 4-5 inches of clear ice at Misery Bay and Horseshoe pond this weekend.  The bluegills were cooperarive.  Also caught a few perch and smelt.
   On the drive out there were shanties off the Chestnut street ramp, and also of the first and second parking lot.  dd

After the big wind and warm weather, Horseshoe and Misery Bay has about the only safe ice around Presque Isle.  Nobody was fishing off the first and second parking lot and there was open water after that.
   Yesterday i caught 16 crappies and fifteen blueguills from 2:00 till 6:00.  Sat was not as good but I did manage to catch a 13 inch crappie.  dd
