kayaked 5 miles of the clarion today.  caught 7 smallmouth ranging from 11"to 14". probally could have caught more if i stopped and fished the holes more thuroughly. low and slow is the key this time of year.  the water is freezing!!! i catch and release every bass i catch and i encurage others to do so too. i wish the fish commission would place place special regulations on bass in the section of the river that flows through cooks forest.  it can get a lot of pressure from the tourists and the fishing is still good, but i think it could be better.

Sittin around waiting for the phone company to call to hook me up to DSL... want to be fishin..BUT have to wait for them ... Booooo !
