I just got to skim the article. Some of what I read looked like a good bit of creative writing and/or creative editing, and I'll leave it at that. Atleast in the picture you couldn't hear my breathing after that calf. I had to chase that one up the hill in Medix Run. |

Those hills are tough just walking up, let alone chasing after a calf. You young guys amaze me. ![]() |

YOUNG??? LOL I'm almost 37 and smoke like a chimney. I think it was about midway thru the second week that my lungs and body got used to the lack of oxygen. I climbed the hill at the Hicks Run viewing area twice one day. Then the next day I climbed the one across the river. The best one though was 3 days in a row I crossed the river and climbed straight up the hill, then on the third day I was coming down off the hill and cme across an old logging road and followed it right into the Mix Run cemetary, and the road leading to it. The nice thing about chasing fairly young calves uphill is that they don't go very far, very fast and you can usually catch them or they make a mistake and fall like the one in the picture did. |
