I have had to keep this "under my hat" for a few days now... BUT it is matter of public record now----

Congratulations go out to one of our board memebers and a personal friend of mine...neville

NEW INFORMATION AND EDUCATION BUREAU DIRECTOR

Pennsylvania Game Commission Executive Director Carl G. Roe today announced that Joseph J. Neville has been appointed as the new director for the agency's Bureau of Information and Education.  Neville fills the vacancy created when J. Carl Graybill Jr. retired on June 29.

Neville currently serves as the agency's legislative liaison, a position to which he was appointed in 2006.  He began his services with the agency as a policy analyst in 1999.

As bureau director, Neville will be responsible for planning, developing and directing the agency's public information, conservation education, marketing and outreach programs, as well as helping to develop the Game Commission's website.  He also will oversee the agency's hunter and trapper training programs.

Previous to joining the Game Commission, Neville was the executive director of the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs.  Prior to that, he served as the Administrator of a branch campus of Community College of Philadelphia.

A 1979 graduate of Titusville High School, Neville earned two bachelor's degrees from Penn State University in 1983, and a master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

Neville is an active member of many statewide sportsmen's groups.

A current resident of Mechanicsburg, Neville and his wife, Susan, have two children: Ally and Sarah.

The Game Commission's Bureau of Information and Education is housed in the Harrisburg headquarters, and includes professional, technical and clerical employees. In addition, the Bureau works directly with six region Information and Education Supervisors and two region Wildlife Education Supervisors

Thanks everybody!  I've been so busy doing two jobs and trying to get moved/oriented that I haven't had time to visit.  The move is technically a lateral but the good news is I won't be dealing with legiscritters as a full time job.

Does this mean you climbed the ladder one or more rungs to the top?

I can see it all so clearly, Joe behind his big expansive oak desk telling his secretary (in her mini-skirt) to take a letter to Doc Trout.

Dear Sir: Although your EYE CANDY has been an enjoyable past-time for me I have now become so important that I can hire my own real life eye candy. Thanks for the memories.

Now that's funny!  My new AA is quite good looking but of course I am more interested in her mind.
