It looks like the new stocking is up on the PFBC site.  Check out what River gets stocked on 5/4/2009!!  It really shocked me.

The Clarion River....from Hallton down... tell me it aint't so -----

Not so sure I like that idea !!!!

Now that it is an approved trout stocking body of water.. I'll not be able to fish there before or after regular trout seasons....

Time to start to try to get some answers....

I personally think it is not a good idea espically since they are stocking it from the mouth of confluence to the 36 bridge.  I feel it is a bad idea espically in the Catch and Release area.

Before you guys get all excited, that is the fingerling stocking that they do every year - not catchable size.  The format that the PFBC uses now puts all stockings on the list, even fingerling stockings.  So...those fish you need to wait a year or so to catch...

I need proof of that. The dates don't match up the adult list has May 4th.   The fingerling stocking is on June 3rd and 4th

The Clarion gets stocked in different sections with the fingerlings at different times.  The TT area gets stocked in June, the rest of the river in May.  The fingerling stocking dates that you are referencing are for last year.

Also, the Clarion is not an ATW.  It never gets stocked with adults, other than by co-op stockings.

I just noticed the dat difference and i am not a big fan of having all the stocking combined if it is adult trout it should only be adult trout.  Other wise there will be confusion.  I am sure i am not the only one that will be confused by this.

I agree - especially when they put "approved trout water" as the designation at the end.
I think they are trying to get a lot of info out there for the comsumer, but this is just not the best format.

I remember my cousin and I were fishing off the deck at my place on the Clarion across from Clear Creek State park one day and things were slow. A fish truck stops up at the end of my property about 400 yards away and starts dumping buckets of fish in the river. My cousin looks at me and starts laughing and says let's move up to where the truck was stocking. We haul arse up there and are casting away and nothing is hitting. I look down off the rock and see hundreds and hundreds of fingerlings. We had another good laugh.
