Amends Title 34 (Game) prohibiting the use of facsimiles of game or wildlife for law enforcement purposes. "Facsimiles" of game or wildlife is defined as a copy of an original with similar characteristics of the original including manmade, mechanical or electronic decoys of any game or wildlife. - Apr 23, 2007 - Referred to House Gaming Oversight HB 1160 By Metcalfe. Amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) providing for temporary emergency licenses for carrying a firearm by requiring a person seeking a temporary emergency license to carry a concealed firearm to submit to the sheriff of the county in which the person resides all of the following: evidence of imminent danger to the person or member of the person's family; a sworn affidavit containing information required on an application for a license to carry a firearm and attesting that the person is 21 years of age or older; and a temporary emergency license fee established by the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police for an amount that does not exceed the actual cost of conducting the criminal background check or $10, whichever is less. The amendment also provides that a temporary emergency license issued would be valid for 90 days and may not be renewed and another would not be issued for at least four years after the expiration of the prior temporary emergency license. - Apr 25, 2007 - Referred to House Judiciary HB 1161 By Metcalfe. Amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) prohibiting the maintenance of any list, database, record or registry of privately owned firearms or the owners of those firearms. The bill provides for exceptions to the prohibition and for the destruction of any list, database, record or registry of firearms maintained or under construction on the effective date of the legislation unless prohibited by law.
