Basically they'll be granted the same rights that police officers have.... EXCEPT... without a "search warrant" and without a judge's approval.. At a time when the PGC has about all the "problems" they can handle they want to drop this one on them... I can see the law suits NOW.... any lawyers on here ??????? |

If probable cause exists there's those magic words Doc. "PROBABLE CAUSE" I'm no yuck..attorney! BUT unless proper probable cause is established and can be proven without a doubt in court the case will be tossed out. In most cases the local Magistrates want the same amount of probable cause to be established at the minor judiciary hearing in order for them to hold the case for court as the officer would have to establish before them or a judge in order to get a search warrant. There are however already some instances on the books where a person, dwelling or vehicle may be searched without the blessing of a warrant but in ALL of these cases were back to the officer being able to prove probable cause. I do not feel anything is going to be gained if this is passed other than tying up even more an already overburdened court system. | |||
| When you begin to question why it is you hunt and fish, you only have to look into the eyes of a child who had just seen their first deer or caught their first fish for the answer. |
