I'm not sue I understand this. It says my download average is 623 and the Pennsylvania average is 5023.
I'm suppose to be on DSL. That didn't seem too good.......

But two minutes later  -- it got even worse!
 

So I tried an experiment. I closed one window, instead of opening a separate window for the speed test, and it got much worse! I have to sign off now before it comes to a complete stop!

where it says pa average, i think is for all types of services across pa. including all high speed and low speed. what does it say for your isp average? that should just include your server. when it got worse could have been internet conjestion along the way. or, the tests uses the temporary files cash on your computor. when the cashe fills up, things slow down. clearing the cashe will help.

if you have the 768kbs dsl, then 600kbs should be about right. slower then 768kds just means you're further away from the hub. higher means that you're closer.

This is DSL. The fastest that Windstream has. I see that many on here have a faster upload speed than Windstream. I wish my upload was faster than it is.

wow, 5m dsl. didn't know it was there. i agree with you on the upload. it does look low. is it advertised that low? that would drive me mad waiting for photos to upload.

i just checked, it's advertised 6m down and 384 up. looks like you got it. what's strange is that their 3m down is also 384 up. maybe they just concentrate on downloading.

what does this mean?

I've tried all kinda things to make it faster but it always stays about here. I'm on zoominternet 100. What is the the difference between MBPS and KBPS. Yes my upload was always faster than my down.

once the test is complete, the results box shows up. the right side of the box has a globe and says compare your results with others. click on the box. the first 2 lines show your results. the third shows how others on your isp compare. you can see if your faster or slower.
i think 3mbps=3000kbps. some places count 1024kb as 1mb. gets confusing for me.

it says that i can download a 1mb file in 3 seconds.

This is my home PC its faster download any way I also have windstream dsl but not the fastest they have.
