I put up the bird feeders & a suet feeder... starting to get a lot of birds...yeahhh! I also put up one of the bell shaped seeders (whatever they are) & now I am having a squirrel problem. Any suggestions?    Should I just add a squirrel feeder to divert them from the bird seed bell & trying to get at my feeders? & OMG...the rabbits in my yard in the morning...they are huge...usually feed on the rhubbarb when it starts to grow.

Angie,
You can try adding ground cayane pepper to the birdseed, treerats don't like it and the birds don't care.
Then again it may just be easier to add the rat feeder. as they are persistant buggers.

Angie I just Grin and bear it and watch and laugh at their squirrlly little acts.  I put feeders out for the squirrels and they go right to the bird food. Buy some bird houses and en joy the feather friends all year long images/icones/icon14.gif

Thank You all for Ur help...I went out today to find ducks in my back yard...I wasn't paying any attention, was going towards the truck & stopped dead in my tracks...I tried taking pics with my camera phone & sending them to my email but they look awful  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley94.abgif. My neice had spent the night the night before & she said she woke up to birds, ducks, squirrels & rabbits all running around back there...LOL Just strange because I live in town. Was used to it when I lived in the country.

The ducks (one male, one female) have decided to make my back yard a daily hang out...been there every morning now since last Saturday eating all the bird seed that the black birds & squirrels keep tipping out of my feeder...lol

Yes Mallards...one drake, one hen. He is really pretty though.... when looking at him in the sun the green head almost looks like a shimmering blue when turned at the right angle...lol They have decided to start coming twice a day now...once in the morning, once in the evening.(who knows maybe they are here for lunch too? I am at work).
