I try to buy a new gun every year to add to my collection.  I usually wait till after the new year to see what the manufacturers have in the new lineup.  I bought two last year, a DPMS AR-15 and a Marlin Guide Gun.

Some things that have peeked my interest so far:

A 45 auto 1911.  I do not own this classic pistol yet.  Leaning towards a Springfield Armory, Smith or Kimber.

The new Browning X-Bolt rifle (new for 2008).  I have always wanted a Browning and this rifle looks like the the ticket.  But I already own quite s few bolt guns for deer.

The ultimate out west gun.  Plan on heading out in a year or too.  Maybe a Weatherby 300 mag or a Remington 300 ultra mag. I already own a Winchester 70 in 300 win mag.  Do I really need something bigger than that??

An AK-47.  Affordable and a hoot to shoot.  But I have an AR already.

A Armalite .50BMG.  Not sure where I would store it but I would like to own one while you can. Imagine the looks at the range.

Or maybe some kind of custom barrel for my TC Encore.  I have  22/250 and a 454 Casull barrels already.

Anyway, ant thoughts from you guys??

I have a Springfield XD 40 which is similar to the glock.  I also have a .243 but the Ruger Number 1 is a sweet rifle and I never thought of that choice.

Will have to check out the calibers that are available.

Well, picked up a used stainless TC Encore frame for a good price.

Just ordered a 7MM Mag barrel heavy barrel for it through Natchez.  This will be a nice long range rig.  smile/AR15firing.gif
