Anyone catch the three speaches last night when Obama clinched the nomination for the Democrats?

McCain: Looked like a bad comedian waiting for applause from the crowd that never came.  The crowd of a couple hundred.

Had the gall to say that pundints and political party elders have chosen Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee.  Never mentioning the 18,000,000 people that voted for him and the 35,000,000 that voted in the Democratic primary.

Clinton: Spoke to a couple thousand and came across as a ungraceful bi*** on a historical night for this country. The race has been over for a couple of months and she says she will have to take a few days to weigh her options instead of conceding, congratulating and unifying the party.

Trying to ram the vice presidency down his throat as well.  The kicker is not sure she actually wants it.

Obama:  Spoke to 15,000 in Minnesota, the site of the Republican convention.  Very humble and spoke kindly of the other candidates.  Layed out a vision that was inspiring(even to this republican).  The machine moves on.

I am digsuted with politics as it is now and one candidate is getting my attention.  I still have the moral delimmas I am fighting with but who knows.  I think I need change I can believe in.

Saw all three and pretty much agree with dpms' summary..

McCain just has no "crowd appeal", reads his speeches pretty much word for word and appears to not be able to get folks excited about anything...

Gives very little in a way of solutions to any problems, and is not much of a conservative...

I personally think electing him will generally be 4 more years of Bush-like politics.. and very very little will change in Washington.

What upsets me the most is -  when are the American people going to wake-up and see the Prez does not do much .... it's congress...

If you want CHANGE you have to change congress not necessarily the Prez...

Hillary reminded me of an ex-girlfriend saying and pleading to not be forgotten and to be together again.. yep almost begging for the vice-prez spot....

Barak did as usual... had everyone excited and looking forward to change... and YES WE CAN.... I'm tired of that one

16 months ago I was 99% sure I wanted Obama  BUT now with all his "radical friends" being exposed by the media I am not sure he can be trusted....  AT ALL .....

I mean COME ON 20 years in a church and he did not know the REV spoke like that of the USA or whgtes ????

That LIE is even worse than Hillary's dodging bullets one...

I have some fears of what may happen if Barak IS NOT elected too .... the blacks are not going to be happy if that happens.... and many will blame the media and "whites" (discrimination)( anti-black)

I just may have to leave the PREZ spot blank on my ballot....

or go for 4 more years of Bush... and look forward to the next Prez election in 4 years.

We need to start to be enery self-proficient and McCain is against that .. he does not want to drill in the wilderness.... just a STUPID idea there all the way... drill damn it... $4.00 per gallon SUCKS BIG TIME....

As for vice-prez.... I think Barak will put up with Hillary at the Democrats convincing... but it may be a BIG mistake come Novermber...

Many of his votes came not from supporters but from folks who just wanted NOTHING to do with HILLARY at all..... and never want a Clinton in the white house again..and they may vote Republican come November.

It seems she wants some kind of co-presidency.  Is Barck that dumb.  Don't think so.

With her continued devisiveness, I believe she is sending signals to her hard core base (feminists and seniors) to withhold thier vote so Obama loses in November.  That would allow her to run again in 4 years.

If he wins and surely would run for a second term, not sure in 8 years she would be a viable candidate.

As a public servant, her focus should be the peolpe and thier best interests, not hers.  It is a shameful stance is she truly believes that a Democrat needs to win the white house.  By not trowing her support behind the nominee as a democrat her future aspirations and signals are clear.

The lesser of two evils...

I don't need any higher taxes, period.  smile/mad.gif  Obama will raise taxes. He won't wear the US flag lapel pin, he doesn't put his hand over his heart when he pledges the allegiance, plus I'm only a gun tot-ten blue collar worker form PA.

I like McCain's talk of ending earmarks. smile/thumb.gif

What has Congress done for us lately?   smile/indecis.gif   Nothing, except BS everyone.

I don't like the choices, but I have to go for McCain.

If a don't vote this year, it would be the same as voting for Obama. I gotta vote!

Don't forget Barak said we (Pa.) hide behind our religion in addition to our LOVE of GUNS

I'll probably vote for McCain..

I have a phone call scheduled tomorrow with Sen. Scarnati... he better have some good things to say about the PGC, deer management etc or I'll not be voting for him FOR SURE....
