Alot of rumors and discussion floating around about what actually happened, but here's a link to a story in todays Altoona Mirror.

Are you really old enough to remember when there were huntable numbers of deer on the gamelands.

Well after reading the thread at HPA I am reminded why I do not go over there very often anymore....  such insults and bashing ????

One thing  I did find interesting, that is if you can believe the two guys who claim to be WCOs over there... one of them posted that the police can not tell the WCO what to do and that the WCO can not tell the police what to do...

who the hell is in charge then ?????

It was a bear -- the WCO should take the upper hand in my opinion...
it was not some nut with a guy threating anyone... or a drunk.. it was a small bear..
probably more scared tahn any of the LEOs

DEFINITELY A sign of over re-action....

I watched a video on the noon news (channel 10) and was amazed at the folks "running around" looks like NO ONE AT ALL WAS IN CHARGE..

and from the video they showed --

the bear was CLEARLY HEADED for the woods... not people...

hopefully it will get worked out and I am glad the community is standing up ...

See.............. wildlife can bring people together...

It is a shame how it paned out.

That HuntingPA seems to be not much more than a PGC blame game on there.  No facts just everything is there fault.

Fish On!!!

I think everybody can agree the situation was handled badly from the start and everyone that was there can share some of the blame.

After watching a video on youtube it appears some of the shots struck a building. I wonder who pays for the damage and where was gun safety?
