i believe the one in the tree is a black snake. the one on the ground is either a brown snake or a very small garter. i saw a few gaters that were bigger in the area.

I have a deep respect for snakes and try to stay 5 counties away from any snake I encounter.

I was talking with a guy who said he all most stepped on a rattlesnake while looking for elk sheds last week.
