With the all-day rain and chilly temperatures we had here today at Rainy Day Acres there was not alot of activity at the bird feeders....

But as luck would have it I was watching at the right time and shot this video still of a bird that has never showed up here before.. nor could I find one like it in my bird books ????


What do you think ????

i would guess a rufous sided towhee, also known as an eastern towhee. the dark marks on the white portion of the breast are confusing me though.

i have to say it's a towhee. see if you can tell the eye color. it should have red eyes. here's one from saturday.
