i worked this weekend, but i did have some time for pics. the moraine preservation fund had an auction on saturday. i stopped for more pics of the barn owl. and the osprey.

doc, the first one was purely by accident. the auction was held in the pavillion at mcdanel's launch area. the bird was just outside of the pavillion. i was getting pics of it and noticed everyone's heads in the background. i decided to get a shot from down low. the angle put the rafter area of the pavillion in the background. the bird being lit by the sun gave me a fast shutter speed. the dark rafter area came out underexposed making it turn completely black. i didn't know that i did it until i reviewed the photos. then i was running around saying "look what i did! look what i did!"
