I saw the desperado in an open grassy area.... I slowly approached from the rear.... being ever so cautious...

Suddenly I was spotted and the stand off began with a fierce warning...

"Go ahead Doc... Make my Day...."

I felt some shaking... was I afraid or was I getting cold ??  

I froze..Idid not want to make this dangerous situaion and worse...

Suddenly movement and the villian headed for the woods.....

I had won the standoff...


but wait...

one last message as it escaped into the woods...

After disturbing the critter was it waving goodbye ????

Or was it another hidden message..like

"KISS THIS" ????

I could never do anything like that or want to.

no one ever takes the time to compose a good skunk photo. that includes me also.

When it turned and open that mouth showing his teeth I  did not I was shaking so bad. I thought I had a good photo

that was a joke doc. i usually want to get closer and closer. with skunks, i think "this will do" and snap the shot.
