prnc i love your bird pics. i was never a bird person until about 5 years ago my father in law gave me this nice bird feeder and my wife bought me a bird book so i knew what i was looking at out my home office window. i tell you, watching these orioles, blue jays and sapsuckers is fun. the best part is this, every morning. the deer come into the yard, stand on their hind legs and eat out of the bird feeder. the squirrels sit on the trees above them and watch them and the birds do as well. once the deer are done the squirrels and birds come down to eat and then the turkey come and scare them away. once i figure out how to use my digital camera and link the photos i will share them with everyone. what a sight. thanks for your great pics. i always enjoy them. also, i saw you took a photo of hawk nesting in erie. where was that? i would like to check it out. thanks. |

If your'e interested in seeing an eagle's nest, there is one on french Creek just above Union city dam. You can see it from a bridge on the old Waterford-Wattsburg rd. It's not hard to see now, but once the leaves start you can't see it. When I took my wife down last fall you could not see the nest, but the eagle was flying overhead. dd |

steelhead, thanks for the comments. i know what you mean about the feeder. this was the first year for me to have one. i love it. i still have problems id'ing all of them. at the top of the photo board is a thread about posting photos. learn the camera and share some pics. i'd like to see them. the eagles nest is on presque isle in erie. on long pond. just stop and ask directions from anyone there. they all know right where it is. if that don't work, let me know. i'll pm directions. | |||

Pat, Great pics as usual. Saw some palm warblers along with some yellow rumped warblers last week unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. I'm gonna go back in the next day or two and see if they're still in the area. Mike |
