I have to get a new camera for my photos that I can use in place of my camcorder and the current cheap digital with not much of a zoom.. since I'll soon be 100% on a computer.

Looking for something that will take GOOD photos of deer along the highway for example... maybe need a good zoom of up to 100 yards that will get a clear photo that you can see some deatil in the deer....

what would be a good optical zoom for that distance ???

any suggests.. looking to spend less than $200  

just look at the optical zoom on a camera. don't consider the digital zoom. you won't be happy with the digital zoom results. i had good results with kodak 10x optical zoom. i had better results with the canon s3 12x optical zoom. canon replaced it with the s5. i hear that it is just as good and better. if you can find an s3, you may be able to get it for under 200.

I have a S5 and like it. Canon is a good camera.

Not much authorities can do... Visa is going to use the fraud division and investigate...

Thank God I tried to contact them this morning...

Just stayed and stayed on hold... talked to a guy and a girl.. 4 different times with the same transfer to HOLD FOREVER...and then after saying I was contacting authorities.. was told I got an E-mail saying my order was cancelled because they were out of stock and would NOT be getting them in....


FIVE MINUTES later I get an e-mail saying I CANCELLED THE ORDER....the guy hardly talked English...


Long story shorten... it's a no sale.. and I'm not sure they are "for real"....


ANYHOW..... I did not and will not lose any dollars on this deal...

I bought a Panasonic DMC-LZ7 and I'm having a BALL playing with it on the camera and the PC and the p[oto shop that came on the CD ROM....

It's only got a 6x opitcal and 7.2 mexapixel but so far I'm happy with the camera and the price I paid...
