I talked to Bodyofsteel last night and he'll be setting me up with a computer on Thursday.

This webtv unit is getting harder and harder to use on the internet each day...

so I guess I have to enter the 21st century if I want to continue my "Dr. Trout" persona and have this board and my other webpages

I must admit... I am NOT looking forward to re-learning all the "stuff" involved in that, especially since I already know almost 90% of it is TOTALLY different....

For awhile I am going to be using both units and hopefully will not do anything crazy and mess up what we have going here

On the GOOD side.. I'll be able to share a lot of stuff I get in E-mails that I no longer can post here because the webtv unit does not open up the attachments any more....

So... I'm going to keep this topic on top here so I can ask questions on how to do things ..

and will say in advance.. I'll appreciate your help in learning how to use a computer..

THANKS..
Doc

Have no fear..

eye candy will stay at webtv for quite awhile....

it only takes a couple minutes to get a photo on that red page....

my video camera has no way of hooking to a computer... so for photos I'll still be using my webtv unit

As for the sex of the models....

well I really do not "study" the photos as much as you must do...

as for where they come from...

I found a site that has over 1,100 swimsuit photos take by pro and amatuer photographer and the models are not (for the most part) professionals.

so just enjoy and don't study them so much !!

Well I now have a computer hooked up....

and I AM SO LOST !!!!

here's two questions....

#!.. maybe only angie can answer this one since she knows webtv...

can I be logged in here on my webtv and still log in on a computer...??
So far I can not log in on a computer ???

#2.. my outdoor web page only shows half of the page when I go there on a computer... how do I change the size when visiting there on a puter ???

I know this is only a few hours old but I see so many "problems" all ready

THANKS

Sorry...been busy Doc...

1. Yes U can be logged into both, but only if U have a seperate phone line for Ur computer or if its hooked to a cable modem... My guess is that U have just Ur home phone line & Ur webby & comp is hooked to it? If that so...no, U have to log off one to log on the other.

2. I do not believe U can change the size when viewing one or the other...on the computer we just have to scroll down.

BTW...WOOHOO!!!!!!! How do U like the computer? the video camera thing sux but U know...once Ur comfortable with the computer...U'll never want the webtv again....(esp. if U go to having Ur computer hooked up thru Ur cable company & no thru dial up, cuz then U click & BAM! Ur there).

You are so right Angie..

I am really enjoying working my stuff" with a computer....I am surprised that I can still use all the "tool sites" I used with the webtv...
and you also are right about it being FASTER than having to go thru California even if it still is a "dial-up"

I AM having problems viewing videos...they take forever to load and then do not play even after that.. they just sit there..even if I click "play" ???

BUT I do want to thank Bodyofsteel (and the Adamsons) for the computer and Mark's help in getting it set-up....

I can see me off the webtv unit within a few weeks

At least now I know that "OLE DOC TROUT" can stay in "BUSINESS" FOR A FEW MORE YEARS...

I had the same problem viewing videos...I believe that is having to do with dial up. Cuz once I changed services, never had a problem viewing them again
