Warren Times Observer....Front Page Headlines...Hunter Attacked by Bobcat.

I had heard about this last Thursday but would not post it until I got more info. Well I got the info I needed to it being a true tale but forgot to post. Now that it has made front page here in Warren County it makes you wonder. I have had happen, and also knew of many others, calling in Coyote when hunting turkey, but first time for me hearing of a Bobcat especially when it jumped right on the hunter going for the head/neck area.

This hunter is a friend of mine. He had a Tom coming in and was concentrating on it when the Bobcat came from behind him and nailed him in the temple area. He was able to get it off him with his hands and took a shot to scare it farther away as it was leaving. This did not stop him from going out the next day, same area, after a doctors visit, and harvest his turkey.
