I let nightstalker give it a try feeding them this past Saturday morning, and they all ran from him.

This week and next I have been in the woods in the evening listening for the sound of turkeys falling asleep. I also use the crow call to locate or hear any responses. I never use a turkey call for fear of spooking them and have them shy from my calls. Anyone doing the same or somilar?

Most times in the evenings, when I go to areas that I hunted before, I just sit and listen from a distance for them to fly up and gobble on their own.

But when I'm hurrying around in my vehicle stopping at as many spots as I can before dark, I owl hoot or use my gobbler shaker to get an answer.
