Wife thought I was crazy but I got up early and went to one of the spots I hunt before work, at 6:00 one started gobbling and continued to gobble over 100 times in the next 45 minutes. I think even I might have been able to call that one in. Also heard one other bird, but he only gobbled once.

Are you really old enough to remember when there were huntable numbers of deer on the gamelands.

I know I'm crazy. I don't usually start work till 9:00 so I can hit places within fifteen minutes of the house. I'll go at least twice during the week. If they are active maybe three times plus Saturday. Makes for a long month of May. dd

I do the same, even have it set up with our Secretary that if I'm not in when she gets there to mark me off on vacation beacuse I found a hot one.
