Well, since I am stuck at home as my wife is sightseeing in DC, the only limit I killed was my limit of dougnuts and three cups of coffee.  All by 10:00.

Hope others did better than me.....

Folks coming into the store all seemed very happy with the fishing on North Fork today.. seems the trout were more than co-operative.

One fella and his boys asked me yesterday for a suggestion on where to go and stopped back this afternoon to show me three limits of nice brook trout from where I suggested they try...

After stopping at the Indian Reservation, I made it to Farnsworth just about 8:00.  The water was just a little high and off color.  Just about perfect.  I caught six all together(if you count one quick release on the edge of the creek).  Certified salted minnies worked the best with the most hits, but with trouble hooking the trout.  Two were on grubs, and one on a worm.  I was leaving for home by 10:00 to get some stuff done there.  Seemed like less people fishing there, but it's the first time I've been there in about 4 years.  dd

Are you really old enough to remember when there were huntable numbers of deer on the gamelands.

15 rainbows on the West Branch of the Clarion. A lot of disapointed anglers up that way they didnt stock that many compared to past years.

saturday didn't do too well, then again didn't feel too well from the activities the night before and didn't put in much effort.   beautiful day though. nice fish were stocked this year. saw some really nice catches at egypt road bridge, north fork. best part was a group of little ones with their grandpa, 1st time fishing, they were killing them. that was worth it right there, watching them catch fish. sunday we did pretty good at richardsville. the fish commission was all over north fork saturday, every place. sunday we were talking with a guy who puts the lime in north fork. he had just taken a ph level test. he said the reason the fish commission was all over north fork is they were seeing how many were fishing and if any were being caught because they were not happy about last year and are considering not stocking it next year? that's what this person told us. i wasn't too happy to hear that. last year was the only time i have never caught a fish on that stream. i think it's a little quick to say they won't stock it after 1 bad year. this year people were catching fish and they stayed put in the stream. a great weekend.

My friend Jay and I fished Sandy Lick on Saturday below Humphrey Bridge.  I caught nine and I think he caught right around that many maybe a fish or two more.  He caught a Brook and a Palamino about 16 inches each.  None of mine had any size.  I saw a big Palamino, Rainbow, and Brown caught.  The Rainbow was caught right next to me and was about 23 inches.  The lucky angler let it go which was nice to see.  After that we fished below Five Mile Run.  I caught three and so did Jay.

By then we were a bit cold so we went for a ride over to Brockway.  We fished one spot on Toby.  I caught two there.  Then we tried one spot on Rattlesnake Creek.  I only caught one there and so did he.  Lastly we tried a couple spots on Rattlesnake Run.  I caught four and he caught about ten or so.  For the day I caught 19 and he caught probably about two dozen. We released them all.
