Well I went out to see if there were any trout that survived the warm dry summer.  The Bad news there was not that many but the few that did make it were pretty active last night.  I did land 4 trout with the biggest being about 15".  All were brown trout and I caught them all on dry flies.  I cant complain thats not bad considering the water temps were approaching the 90 degree range a few days in August.  So the before the fall stocking there are a few trout still left in the project waters.  I did see a few other trout in the 15" range working so thats was promising.

Sad note the other hotspots in Brookville appear totally fishless and i seen some remaining evidence of fish dying off from the water temps.

DAMN..

Our local taxidermist changes 7 dollars an inch.. let's see..

15 feet times 12 inches =180  inchs times $7 =
$1,260.00..

Probably worth it though.. not too many have a 15 foot trout on their wall...

wouldn't work for me though .. I don't a 15 foot wall in the house to hang it on
