Hello, guys.

I am a novice fly fishermen fishing in Warren County.  How's the fishing?  UP here there's been some grumbling about less stockings, but for me not a bad start to the year, with a pretty pair of 11"/13" rainbows (on a stream called Jackson Run) on the first day...

This is my second year of fly fishing and I going to focus more on trout and build on some good experiences with nymphs.  Also I hope to 'break' in to dry fly fishing, although it seems alot more difficult (than nymphs) for a worm dunker like me.

I am always looking for some advice and tips-- not too many people fish the ANF with a fly fishing pole. ok.

I'm curious about some of the regulars on this board, are many of your local?  there seems a bunch of you down in brookville.  I've fished down that way (even lived there for a year)...

jolie, welcome to the sight. sorry that i can't help you with to much info right now. i havent' had much time to fish lately. the fish for fun area in brookville is a great place to learn. if you can find a delayed harvest area or a c&r area near you, try them. they should always have fish in them. watch the adds for fly shops. sometimes they give free lessons. usually they are to advertise a new product but hey, don't ever pass up on free lessons!

I am from St Marys and I grew up fly fishing in and around the national forest.  Kinzua Creek is one of my favorite streams.  The best way to learn is to spend time on the water and don't be afraid to ask fellow fly anglers what is working.

Fish On!!!
