An act providing that all firearms in the Commonwealth would be registered with the Pennsylvania State Police and imposing penalties. This bill would compel gun owners to register all their firearms (exceptions made for antique or inoperable firearms), require registration renewal every year at $10.00 per firearm, and require the submission of finger prints and photos with registration.  If you are denied registration you must hand over your guns.

Excellent turnout for this morning's pro-Second Amendment Rally/Press Conference in the Capitol Rotunda. I didn't get to hear much of it, as I spent most of the morning jabberin' with Reps about firearms legislation and hunting issues. Noted that Representatives Gergely, DeWeese, Rohrer, Keller and many others were in the Rotunda to attend the goin's on.

Kim Stolfer, NRA, PFSC and other orgs, were all busy escorting groups of supporters to talk with legislators individually, once the press conference concluded.

According to what I was told, HB 760 is dead in the water.
